One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism. Diwali symbolises the spiritual  “ victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.”

To make the students understand the importance of Diwali, D.I.S had a celebration in school on 24- October-2019.

The celebration began in the morning assembly where Ms. Poonam Gururani delivered a speech on ‘Diwali’ and it was followed by our respected Principal Dr. Swati Anand where she sensitize the students to have a safe and green Diwali.

Many activities were held in the school such as diyas painting, paper candle making, candle decoration, paper lanterns, and Inter-House Rangoli competition for the students.

The students of classes I to V actively participated in the diyas painting, candle decoration and paper lanterns with their teachers.

The students of classes VI to X participated in the inter house Rangoli competition. The students of all the four houses earnestly put efforts forward in their creativity Rangoli colours, flower petals and diyas were used to decorate and give wings to their ideas.

All the hard word and innovative work of the students was appreciated by our respected Managing Director Mr. Lakhpat singh Butola revered Principal Dr. Swati Anand and respected Manager Mr. T.S Rawat.

The Inter-House Rangoli Competition judging criteria was based on creativity, cleanliness and colour combination.

The result are as follows:-

(1) Shaurya House        -       I Position

(2) Ashoka House          -      II Postion

(3) Mahaveer House    -       III Postion

(4) Paramveer House   -       IV Postion
