Republic Day Celebration

26th January is a gala day for every Indian. On 26th Jan 1950, the Constitution of India came into force and our country India became the Republic. We celebrated our 71 Republic day with full fervour and gaiety on 26th Jan.2019 Saturday.

To inculcate the feeling and spirit of Nationalism among the students cultural programme was held in our school premises.

All the students were assembled on the school ground at 9:00 am. After sometime, our respected Managing Director Mr. Lakhpat Singh Butola, Manager Mr. Trilok Singh Rawat and our Principal Dr. Swati Anand unfurled the national flag. This was followed by our National Anthem. Then the series of speeches started. Our Principal Mam addressed the gathering. “She emphasized on the need for the active participation of students for the development of a Nation.”

M.D Sir also shared his thought with the students and told them about the importance of education in one’s life which leads to opening of many doors of opportunities in future. On the other hand, our coordinator Miss Rakhee Chauhan also expressed her ideas to mark this day.

 At the end of the programme Rawat Sir thanked everybody for their presence on this day. The programme was further ended with the distribution of sweets.

Workshop on Health and Hygiene

A short awareness programme on the personal hygiene was conducted by D.I.S on 02.March.2019, Saturday. This session was aimed to demonstrate the importance of maintaining good hygiene and illustrated the importance of comprehensive cleaning to maintain a good health and a better personality in a certain society. The speaker of the workshop Mrs. Suman Rawat aimed at educating the students about the concept and importance of health and hygiene among girls.

It was an interactive session where our Principal Dr. Swati Anand also emphasised on awareness, breaking social taboos related to physical changes at the adolescence age, along with the importance of nutritious diet. The lecture concluded on a positive note that students should inculcate healthy habits in their lifestyle.

Magic Show

"A Magic show was organised by the Red Cross Society"on 25th Feb 2019, the show conveyed social message regarding the illeffects of smoking, black magic and female foeticide. The students enjoyed the show thoroughly,along with the staff of Dharma International School."
