The Eco Club of our school organized a kitchen garden preparation activity with the active participation of students from Classes 6 to 12.

A garden area was allotted within the school campus for this purpose. As the first step, students worked together to clean the area thoroughly. Pebbles and stones were removed and collected at one place. Dry leaves and other biodegradable materials were gathered separately for future composting, while non-biodegradable waste such as plastic and toffee wrappers was also collected and disposed of properly.

After cleaning, the soil was prepared using tools such as spades and hoes. The students carried out tilling of the soil to improve aeration and water absorption, ensuring better growth for the plants. Boundaries were also made around existing plants to protect them.

The activity was highly engaging and helped students understand the importance of cleanliness, teamwork, and environmental conservation.
